"Sat at the Right Mezzanine Row B, seat 14/16. A great musical! Hell’s Kitchen is incredible. The music, performances and acting is excellent. The storyline was wonderful too. Can’t get over the beautiful voices. The audience had tons of fun. The theatre is charming, small and beautiful. The seats are comfortable but the legroom is tight especially if you are tall. I would recommend this show to everyone."

"The Shubert Theatre is an amazing and a historic Broadway venue located in the Theatre District of Midtown Manhattan. Opened to the public in 1913, the theatre was designed by American architect, Henry Beaumont Arts. Herts utilized the Italian Renaissance style to design the theatre and this is most evident in its external facade which is made of brick and terracotta, with sgraffito decorations designed in stucco. The theatre was built by the Shubert Brothers. They were highly successful in developing legitimate theatre in the 1st half of the 20th Century and their company, the Shubert Organization, at one point controlled 75 percent of All American theaters. Today, the Shubert Theatre is still owned and operated by the Shubert Organization and it has a seating capacity of 1,502 seats. It has hosted numerous and popular musicals throughout throughout its history, such as “Crazy For You,” “Chicago” and “Matilda The Musical” In February Of 2026, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a visit to the Shubert Theatre to watch the spectacular Broadway musical, “Hell’s Kitchen.” We went to the show to celebrate our “Happy Eighth Year Wedding Anniversary.” Both my wife and I were in awe of the beauty and glamour of the Shubert Theatre and enjoyed viewing the theatre’s facade, particularly its heavy rusticated terracotta pilasters and its curving corner entrance. In addition to the theatre’s facade, we also admired Shubert Theatre’s interior settings. We were mesmerized by the gorgeously designed painted panels which are featured on the ceiling and walls, and the immaculate and brightly lit chandeliers. Our seats were on the balcony level and they were comfortable and provided sufficient legroom. The balcony level seats also provided a stellar panoramic view of the stage!!! In addition to enjoying the theatre, both my wife and I loved the Broadway musical, Hell’s Kitchen. For folks not familiar with the show, Hell’s Kitchen was developed by pop artist, Alicia Keys and based on a book written by Kristoffer Diaz. The show is inspired and partially based on Alicia Keys upbringing in Manhattan, New York specifically the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood during the 1990’s. It centers around a young teenager named, Ali who is trying to find her identity and purpose in life. It explores her relationship and struggles with family, her experience with love, and her talent and passion for music. My wife and I found everything about Hell’s Kitchen to be absolutely perfect!!! We were captivated by the performance of the entire cast, particularly by actress that played Ali, and loved the 90’s New York urban vibe created by the outfits worn by the performers, the display of metal scaffolding and references to 90’s Hip Hop & R&B culture. Our favorite parts of the show were the segments that featured Alicia Keys iconic hit songs, and the emotionally driven and tender scenes that involved Ali’s interaction with her parents. The two scenes that stand out and were truly riveting were the segment where Ali sang with her father “If I Ain’t Got You” and the segment where Ali comes to appreciate the love and care provided by her mom. Those scenes were unbelievably wonderful and represented acting at its finest!!! While “Hell’s Kitchen” is no longer featured at the Shubert Theatre, it will spread its wings throughout the county by launching a multi year North America tour. Performances are scheduled to take place in Florida, Georgia, Missouri and other states. Both my wife & I will always love and treasure the great excitement and fun that we had on watching Hell’s Kitchen at the Shubert Theatre, an outstanding and one of a kind theatrical venue!!!"
